    About the family

Runecarve is a classical serif with a quiet confidence. The capitals are well proportioned and wide in the right places, the serifs are small and firm, and the lowercase has a comfortable x-height with a double-storey a and a bowled g that keeps a long paragraph moving. Contrast is moderate, so it holds up on paper and screen. The figures are full height and nicely proportioned, like those in a good book. Light, Regular, Medium and Bold give you a delicate caption, a text weight and a sturdy headline. It looks at home on a title page, a museum label or a wine list, and it never shouts.
