How it looks in use
Loupethorn
A slim, high-contrast sans where heavy stems meet hairline horizontals, cool and a little dressy.
Loupethorn
About the family
Loupethorn has the plain skeleton of a grotesque but none of its sameness. Vertical stems are heavy, horizontals and joins are filed down to fine lines, and the letters run slightly narrow, which gives a line of text a crisp stripe of dark and light. The M and N have thin diagonals, the curves pinch where they meet the stems, and the lowercase has a big x-height. Five weights from Light to Bold go from whisper to headline. It works where a serif would feel too formal and a normal sans too flat.
