About the family
Trestlebroad is the plain-speaking one. It is a wide American gothic with strokes of almost even weight, rounds squared off at the corners, and nothing added for decoration. The a is double storey with a generous bowl, the G has a flat bar and no spur, the R stands on a straight leg, and the figures are as wide and sturdy as the capitals. Because the letters are so broad, even a short word takes up real space, which is exactly what you want on a sign or a label. Light, Regular, Medium and SemiBold give you a clean range from calm to heavy, and all four keep the same square, dependable look.
