About the family
Axletbroad is a Clarendon slab stretched sideways and set down firmly. The capitals are wide, with heavy bracketed serifs and an R whose leg kicks out in a small curl. The lowercase is broad and dark, with ball ends on the a, c and r and a sturdy two-storey g. Light already has real presence, and Regular, Medium and SemiBold get darker without losing the open shapes. A single word in it looks like a sign painted over a shop door, and a line of it looks like the top of a railway timetable.
