How it looks in use
Vellorslim
A tall, narrow book serif with fine brackets and a calm vertical stress, built to fit long headlines in short columns.
Vellorslim
About the family
Vellorslim takes a classic transitional serif and squeezes it clearly narrow without losing its poise. The bowls are tall ovals standing nearly straight up, the thick and thin strokes differ enough to sparkle but never drop to a hairline, and the serifs are small, bracketed and neat. The x-height is generous, so the lowercase holds up when the size comes down. Five weights run from Light to Bold: Light is slim and elegant, Bold gets dark and punchy like an old newspaper deck. It is the serif to reach for when the headline is long and the column is not.
