How it looks in use
Upturnbroad
A wide flat sans that carries a little more weight in its horizontals than its stems, with round inside corners.

About the family
Upturnbroad is built long and low. The letters are stretched wide, the horizontal strokes carry a touch more weight than the uprights, and the curves are squared off into rounded rectangles, so the o and the e look like they were drawn for a dashboard. The lowercase has a big x-height and short ascenders, the g has a flat hooked tail, and the figures are as wide as the capitals. There are no serifs anywhere, just clean flat ends. Five weights from Light to Bold keep the stretch steady as they get heavier. It makes even a short word feel like it is going somewhere fast.
