How it looks in use
Tachrawick
A machine-cut sans with 45 degree chamfers where curves would be and low set crossbars.
Tachrawick
About the family
Tachrawick looks machined out of sheet metal. Wherever a curve would be, the corner is cut off at 45 degrees, so the bowls turn into squared, many-sided shapes and the S folds like a bent plate. The stems are firm and the horizontals a little lighter, the crossbars sit low, and the proportions are normal width, so it reads easily. There are five weights from Light to Bold. Light feels precise and technical, Bold feels like the lettering on heavy equipment. It works just as well on a game menu as on a toolbox.
