About the family
Upendwick is a soft, open sans with rounded stroke ends and generous round bowls. Look closely and the stress runs the wrong way: crossbars and the tops of letters are a touch heavier than the stems, which gives it a slightly playful wobble without spoiling readability. The a is double storey, the j and y have short friendly tails, and the whole thing feels hand made but tidy. Four weights run from Light to SemiBold, so it works for short paragraphs as well as for headings. It suits anything that should sound kind rather than corporate.
