Tall stamped capitals with thick stems and hairline crossbars, the ink running a bit thin.
Thudbythorn
About the family
Thudbythorn is a narrow stamp face with real contrast. The stems are thick and dark while the crossbars and serifs are hairline thin, which gives it the look of an old theatre bill. The printing is rough on purpose: white voids break up the heavy strokes and the edges wobble where the pad was unevenly inked. Letters are tall rectangles with brusque little serifs and they sit close together. Light, Regular and Medium each keep that pressed texture. It works best big, where the specks and gaps can be seen.
