About the family
Umbetslim is built tall and narrow. The thick strokes are very thick and the thin ones are hairlines, the way an old theatre bill does it, and every letter has a slim shadow tucked against its right edge and under its feet. The bowls are squeezed into tall ovals, so a long word still fits a narrow column. At a distance it reads as smart and a little dramatic; up close you notice the tiny white gap that keeps letter and shadow apart. Light and Regular are both here. It likes to be set big, in capitals or in lowercase, with plenty of room above and below.
