    About the family

Trestlegate is an American gothic squeezed tall and narrow. The sides of the O and the C run nearly straight, the corners are softened only a touch, and the stems stay a little heavier than the rounds, so a line of it has the steady rhythm of a fence. The lowercase a is double storey with a big upper bowl, the R ends in a short blunt leg, and the figures are just as slim as the capitals, which is handy when a date has to sit inside a headline. Light, Regular and Medium are all here. Light is for big sizes where you want height without heft; Medium is for the headline that has to win the page.
