    About the family

Trestlethorn takes an American gothic and stretches it wide, then puts nearly all the weight into the upright strokes. The verticals are dark and square, the crossbars and shoulders go thin, and the gap between the two gets louder as you climb from Light to SemiBold. Rounds like O and C lean toward rectangles, the G carries a firm spur, and the ends of c, e and s are sliced flat. The lowercase is roomy and low, with a double storey a and g. Light is crisp and a little elegant; SemiBold looks like it belongs painted on the side of something expensive with an engine.
