    About the family

Tessomgate is a roman that seems to have been cut into stone with a V-shaped groove. The stems swell gently toward their ends and stop in small sharp flares, so there are no separate serifs, just the suggestion of them. Proportions are classical, apertures are open, the contrast is low and the crossbars are fine without ever going hairline. There are five weights from Light to Bold. It has the calm authority of an inscription but it is friendly enough for a menu. Set it in capitals with generous spacing and it looks like it has been there for centuries.
