    About the family

Tarmacbroad is a grotesque that stretches out and takes the whole lane. The letters are wide and low, the shoulders are squared off, the terminals are cut flat and the apertures stay closed, so every word looks solid and a little mechanical. Stems are heavier than the horizontals, but nothing gets thin enough to disappear. The capitals are broad and confident, the lowercase keeps a large x height, and the figures are compact so prices and dates sit tidy beside the wide letters. It comes in Light, Regular and Medium. It is the kind of face that looks good on the side of a truck, and just as good on a website header.
