How it looks in use
Stikkothorn
Tape-strip letters of normal width, with fat runs for the stems and thin slivers for the crossbars.
Stikkothorn
About the family
Stikkothorn builds each letter from strips of tape stuck straight to the page. The upright strokes are wide runs and the crossbars are thin slivers, so there is real contrast between them, and that gives the whole thing a slightly posh air for something made of tape. Curves are faked with short straight pieces, which makes the bowls look chipped and faceted, and the ends are torn blunt. It stays at a normal width and stands upright. Four weights, Light to SemiBold, go from a quick sketch to something you would paste over a whole door.
