    About the family

Tarmacslim is a narrow grotesque with the charm of early sans lettering, before everything got smoothed out. The bowls are tall ovals, the terminals are cut flat, the apertures stay tight, and the horizontal strokes are a little lighter than the stems, which gives the letters a quiet contrast. The R, G and Q have a slightly quirky, hand cut look that keeps it from feeling generic. The lowercase is compact and even, and the figures are tall and slim. It comes in Light, Regular and Medium. It fits a lot of words in a small space and makes them look like they were printed on a poster pasted to a brick wall.
