    About the family

Scorpermere looks like it came off an engraver's plate. The letters are a classic roman of ordinary width, with small sharp serifs and a moderate swing from thick to thin. The thick parts are not solid, though: each one is filled with a handful of fine vertical lines, and the thin strokes stay as single clean lines. From across the room it reads as a dignified serif. Up close it shimmers. Light, Regular and Medium change how dark the line work sits, with Medium getting close to solid black. It likes short, serious words that want to look official without shouting.
