How it looks in use
Sateenbroad
A wide didone with its drama turned down: flat serifs, ball terminals and near even strokes.
Sateenbroad
About the family
Sateenbroad has the bones of a fashion didone but none of the glitter. The stress is vertical, the serifs are flat and thin, the ball terminals are all there, yet the strokes run nearly even, so the page looks calm instead of sparkly. The letters are clearly wide, the capitals are stately, and the oval bowls have plenty of room inside. It comes in Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold. The lighter weights are airy and quiet, the heavier ones feel solid and a little old money. It suits signs that should look expensive without saying so.
