How it looks in use
Crierfell
A tight, tall grotesque with no contrast. Fits a whole headline where others fit half.
Crierfell
About the family
Crierfell is a condensed grotesque with a very tall, narrow build. The n is roughly half as wide as it is tall, round letters are narrow ovals and the strokes are almost perfectly even. Apertures are closed and terminals are flat, which keeps each word packed and blocky. It is plain in the good sense: no quirks, just density. The four weights shift from lean to punchy without changing that tall stance. It is made for headlines, sports graphics and anywhere space is short. Set small in a paragraph it gets cramped and hard to track.
