How it looks in use
Proemkeep
A dark, sturdy oldstyle text face with blunt bracketed serifs and nearly even strokes.
Proemkeep
About the family
Proemkeep keeps the oldstyle look but trades delicacy for strength. The strokes are nearly even, so a page of it sits dark and solid, and the serifs are blunt and heavily bracketed. The humanist lean is still there in the bowls, the x-height is modest, the ascenders are tall and the e has a small eye. Letters are well spaced and easy to tell apart. Four weights run from Light to SemiBold. It is a serif that does not mind cheap paper, small sizes or a busy layout, and it still looks friendly while doing the hard work.
