How it looks in use
Pennonmere
A condensed humanist sans with a light pen touch, a tall x-height and open shapes that stay readable when squeezed.

About the family
Pennonmere packs a lot of words into a narrow line. The letters are clearly condensed, but the shapes stay humanist: strokes thin a little where bowls meet stems, ends are cut on a gentle slant, and the c, e and s keep their mouths open. The x-height is tall, so it reads well even at small sizes. Light is slim and elegant, Regular and Medium work in columns and captions, and SemiBold and Black turn into strong newspaper style headlines. It is practical and compact, and still a bit human.
