    About the family

Pikettmere is a textura of normal width with a moderate amount of contrast, so the diamonds at the head and foot of each stem sit close in weight to the stems themselves. The bowls are six-sided instead of round, the extenders are kept short, and the letters are spaced tight, which turns a line of text into an even gray-black weave. The capitals are simpler than the old ornate ones, closer to plain gothic caps with a broken stroke here and there, so a word set in caps still reads at a glance. Five weights run from Light to Bold. Light feels like a carved inscription, Bold feels like a banner over a doorway.
