How it looks in use
Pikettcross
A tight picket fence of a blackletter: heavy narrow staves joined by hairline forks and diamonds.
Pikettcross
About the family
Pikettcross is textura at its strictest. Each letter is made of heavy black staves packed as tight as fence boards, and every fork, diamond and joining stroke is a fine hairline, maybe a quarter of the stave weight. The result is dark, vertical and very narrow, with capitals that look carved rather than written. The letters stand fully apart, so even a long word keeps a clean picket rhythm. It comes in Light and Regular. Set it big and let the hairlines show, or set it in a block and enjoy the dark texture.
