Nurnelthorn
A narrow, dark broad pen blackletter with pointed bowls and sharp hairlines at every turn.

About the family
Nurnelthorn is a schwabacher squeezed narrow. The strokes swell with a broad pen and drop to hairlines at every corner, the o comes to a point at the top and the bottom like an almond, and the g swings open at the bottom. The capitals are rounder and plainer than the usual gothic kind, with a folk touch rather than a royal one. The letters sit close together and the page gets dark fast, which is the point. Light, Regular and Medium are all strong enough for a label. It feels like a beer hall sign or the cover of an old almanac.
