How it looks in use
Loavelcrier
A wide, bold, high contrast serif with fat rounded stems, thin soft hairlines and serifs like little pillows.
Loavelcrier
About the family
Loavelcrier is wide, heavy and very pleased with itself. The stems are thick and rounded, the hairlines are thin but soft, and every serif is a plump little pillow with blunt ends. The bowls are broad, the x-height is large and the ascenders are short, which makes the lowercase look sturdy and a bit cheeky. Details like the ball on the r and the curled tail of the q add charm. There are three weights, Light, Regular and Medium, and all of them are bold enough for a headline. It has the confidence of an old poster face with none of the sharp edges.
