About the family
Hootsbybroad is the wide cousin of Hootsbywick. Every letter has been stretched out sideways into a fat, friendly bean: the o is wider than it is tall, the m takes up a small parking space, and the pen line stays thick and even from end to end. The ends are all rounded off, so even the Light weight looks soft and well fed. Three weights, Light, Regular and Medium, all read as loud; the difference is how much ink goes on the page. Because it is so wide it is best kept short. A two word headline fills a poster, a single word fills a box lid, and a whole sentence starts to feel like someone shouting down a long corridor.
