How it looks in use
Ekranobroad
A wide segmented face in six weights, drawn from straight bars with clipped ends like a stove or radio display.

About the family
Ekranobroad takes the seven-segment digit and stretches it across a whole alphabet. Letters are wide, built entirely from straight bars with angled ends, and there is not a true curve anywhere; the O is a rounded box, the S is a zigzag of bars. The family runs from Light to Black in six steps, and even the heavy end keeps the little gaps and clipped joints that make it read as a screen. Pale on dark it glows like an oven clock; dark on pale it looks like a printed manual. Either way, the numbers are the stars.
