A very wide, extreme reverse-contrast slab with fat horizontal bars and hairline verticals.

About the family
Beamtopbroad takes reverse contrast as far as it goes. The horizontal strokes and slab serifs are fat bars, the verticals shrink to thin lines, and the letters are stretched so wide that a short word crosses the page. The capitals look like stacked planks, the lowercase is low and broad, and the whole thing has the rhythm of a railroad car going past. Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold get heavier while keeping that striped, top-and-bottom look. One word is usually enough.
