About the family
Ashwarden is a workhorse sans that knows its job. The letters are of normal width, the strokes are even with only a slight thinning where curves meet stems, and the lowercase has a large x-height with a double-storey a and a single-storey g. Capitals are straightforward and the R has a straight diagonal leg. Figures are clear and balanced for tables and prices. Light, Regular, SemiBold and Black give you a quiet body weight, a firm heading and a heavy display cut that still looks tidy. It is not trying to be clever, which is why it works for menus, apps, signs and everything in between.
