About the family
Vellormere is a transitional serif that keeps its strokes close to one weight, so a page of it looks even and gray instead of glittering. The serifs are small and softly bracketed, the counters are wide and open, the e has a level bar and the stress is close to vertical. Nothing about it shouts, which is the point: it is meant to carry long reading without getting tiring. Six weights run from Light to Black. The lighter end is for body text and quiet notes, while SemiBold through Black make sturdy, friendly headings that still look bookish.
