About the family
Umbetcrier is a fat face in the old poster tradition: massive vertical strokes, hairline cross strokes, round ball ends on the a, c, f and r. Behind every letter sits a second copy, drawn as a thin outlined shadow that peeks out on the right and underneath. That gives the page a printed, slightly theatrical depth, as if the words were cut out of card and stood up on a shelf. It has normal proportions, so it sets comfortably in a line, and the lowercase is full of character. Light and Regular are included. Use it large and let the hairlines show.
