Tattingslim
Narrow cross-stitch letters, sewn in neat little X marks, as if your grandmother had a very good grid.

About the family
Tattingslim is cross-stitch lettering in a tall, narrow shape. Every stroke is a row of small X stitches, all the same size, so the weight stays even and the curves come out square and stepped, the way they do on a sampler. The letters have small slab serifs and stand upright and close together, so a short phrase fits neatly on one line. Three weights, Light, Regular and Medium, go from a single thread to a thicker one. It looks best where a bit of homemade warmth is welcome, and it will not pretend to be anything fancier than it is.
