    About the family

Swabothorn paints wide. The brush lands heavy on every downstroke, drags out sideways, then flicks off into a thin dry tail, so the contrast between thick and thin is big and loud. The bowls are broad and open, the capitals are roomy, and the edges show where the bristles split apart. The letters stand nearly upright but everything drifts to the right, like the hand could not wait for the next word. There are five weights from Light to Bold. Light still has plenty of swagger, and Bold reads from across a parking lot. Give it a short word and a lot of space.
