How it looks in use
Stodgythorn
A wide, high contrast fat face: huge black stems, needle thin hairlines and little curled balls on the ends.
Stodgythorn
About the family
Stodgythorn pushes the fat face as far as it goes. The letters are wide, the stems are huge black slabs, and the hairlines between them are thin enough to thread a needle. Counters shrink to narrow slots. The ends of the strokes curl up into small teardrop balls on the a, c, f, j and r, and the flat hairline serifs keep it all standing straight. Light, Regular and Medium get progressively wider and blacker, so even the lightest is heavy. It is best as a headline, big and short, where the contrast has room to show off.
