About the family
Stodgypress is a fat face with a softer heart. The bowls balloon into big round shapes, the counters are small and pinched, and ball terminals hang off the letters like berries on a branch. The thin strokes are thicker than a hairline, so the letters stay sturdy and friendly rather than sharp. The serifs are short and bracketed, and the R has a curly leg that gives it some swagger. Light and Regular are both bold in the everyday sense; Regular is wider and rounder. It suits signs, menus and labels that want attention but would rather smile than bark.
