How it looks in use
Sateenmere
The didone skeleton with the shouting taken out: vertical stress, ball terminals and a matte, even stroke.

About the family
Sateenmere keeps the structure of a didone and leaves the drama at the door. The axis is vertical, the serifs are thin, flat and unbracketed, and the a, c, f and r end in ball terminals, but the strokes are kept nearly even, so there is no flashing between thick and thin. The letters sit on the narrow side of normal, which lets a line hold a few extra words. There are five weights: Light, Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Black. Black is the surprise, heavy and compact, great for a title. The rest make calm, grown up text.
