How it looks in use
Roodmarrow
A lively schwabacher blackletter with plump pointed bowls and broad-nib strokes that feel written, not built.

About the family
Roodmarrow is blackletter that has loosened its collar. The strokes come from a broad nib, so thicks and thins swap as the pen turns, and the bowls are round ovals that come to a soft point at top and bottom. The capitals are generous and curly, with big swinging strokes on letters like A, G and M, and the lowercase has an energetic, handwritten rhythm that is much easier to read than a strict textura. Light, Regular and Medium each keep that pen feel. It is gothic enough for tradition and warm enough for a pub sign.
