How it looks in use
Proemwyn
A wide oldstyle roman with sharp hairlines, bracketed serifs and long elegant extenders.
Proemwyn
About the family
Proemwyn takes a humanist oldstyle and spreads it out. The stress still leans on a diagonal, the serifs are bracketed and the e has its sloped bar, but the thins have been sharpened to hairlines and the letters have been pulled wide, so the page looks open and bright. The x-height is small and the extenders are long, which gives every line plenty of air. There are five weights: Light, Regular, Medium, Bold and Black. It looks best set large with generous spacing, the way a fine press would print a title page.
