    About the family

Pennantine is a serif with a writer's temperament. The serifs are sharp and wedged, the curves carry a gentle stress, and the letters have the proportions of a well set book, with a moderate x-height and long ascenders. The lowercase a is double-storey, the g is bowled, and the figures are full height and tidy, so dates and prices look settled in a sentence. Regular is made for reading and SemiBold gives headings some weight without losing the elegance. It suits anything that should feel considered: a poetry collection, a restaurant menu, an invitation that someone might keep.
