About the family
Hewnfell looks like it was cut into stone by someone who had a very narrow lintel to work with. The letters are tall and closely fitted, with strong stems and fine thins, and every stroke finishes in a small, sharply cut flare. The capitals feel formal and a little monumental; the lowercase is compact and keeps a steady rhythm across a long line. The figures are slim and elegant. Light, Regular, Medium and SemiBold give a clean range, from delicate to properly stout. It fits a lot of words into a small space and still looks like it means every one of them.
