    About the family

Hatpinwyn has the manners of copperplate without the joins. The letters are drawn with a pointed nib feel: hairline upstrokes, shaded downstrokes and oval bowls, with loops on the ascenders and descenders and a gentle forward lean. Each letter stands apart, so words stay clear and easy to space. The capitals are formal and composed, with a flourished G, J and Q, and the figures lean and swing like a ledger entry. Five weights run from Regular to Black, and the heaviest ones still keep their hairlines. It suits anything that should feel written in good ink.
