About the family
Hatpinslim is a condensed didone that kept its thin strokes sturdy. It has the upright stress, flat unbracketed serifs and ball ends of a classic fashion face, but the thin strokes hold real weight, so it survives smaller sizes and rougher paper that would snap a finer cousin. Letters are narrow and tall and the joins are crisp. Six weights run from Light to a heavy Black whose round letters turn fat and glossy. It is at home on a magazine cover or a price tag, and it fits a long headline into a narrow column without looking cramped.
