How it looks in use
Gothmarbroad
A wide, heavy fraktur with fat lantern shaped bowls and blunt strokes, built for one loud word.

About the family
Gothmarbroad is a blackletter that has sat down and spread out. The letters are wider than most fraktur ever gets, the bowls turn into fat six sided lanterns, and the strokes are heavy and blunt with almost no thin parts at all. The capitals still have their curls and hooks, and the lowercase keeps its broken angles, so there is no mistaking the family. It comes in a single weight, and that one weight is plenty dark. Give it a short word and a lot of room and it will do the shouting for you, from a beer mat to a shop front.
