How it looks in use
Elderbroad
A wide, calm oldstyle serif with low contrast. Built to be read, not just looked at.

About the family
Elderbroad is a book serif with generous width. It keeps the old habits: angled head serifs on the lowercase, bracketed feet, a slightly tilted axis in the bowls. But the contrast is low and the letters are wide, so it stays sturdy and open on screen and in print. It has a quiet, bookish warmth without looking antique. Four weights go from a graceful Light to a firm SemiBold, all of them readable. This is one of the few in the catalogue that is happy setting a full page. The width means it uses up space, so it is not the pick for narrow columns.
