How it looks in use
Clavemere
A tall condensed serif for headlines. Quiet and elegant in Light, a real poster face in SemiBold.
Clavemere
About the family
Clavemere is a condensed serif with bracketed serifs and an upright stance. The letters are tall and narrow, so a long headline fits across a slim column. The Light is quiet and refined, with thin strokes and neat serifs. As the weight climbs the stems thicken while the hairlines stay put, so by SemiBold it has real snap, more like a theatre bill than a broadsheet. The four weights feel like one family with a wide mood range. Headlines, decks and pull quotes are its home. For body text it is too tight and too tall to be comfortable.
