About the family
Thornbroad is the wide, dramatic end of the wedge serif family. The letters are much wider than they are tall, the O is a broad oval and the m is a long road, and every serif comes to a sharp point that thickens into the stem. Contrast is high, with heavy curves and thin joins, and the lowercase has long, sweeping descenders on g, p and q. The figures are wide and elegant. Regular, Medium and SemiBold give it more weight without losing the sharpness. Use it for a single strong word at large size: a theatre name, a restaurant sign, a book cover that wants attention.
