About the family
Roodslim keeps the round, vigorous shapes of schwabacher and presses them into a narrow column. The o is pointed at top and bottom with curved sides, the bowls break where the pen changes direction, and the stems finish in angled cuts. Because the contrast is medium rather than extreme, the thins stay visible and the text keeps its sparkle even when set dense. The capitals carry small curls and spurs that make a first letter stand out. Regular and Medium are close companions, one for lines and one for titles. It is the blackletter to reach for when the word is long and the space is short.
