About the family
Nightpsalter is the strict kind of blackletter. The lowercase is built from straight upright stems, each one with a diamond on top and a diamond at the foot, set so close and so even that a word turns into a dark woven stripe. Even the o is a narrow six sided shape rather than a circle. The capitals are wider and a little showier, with thin hairline strokes and small hooks, while the figures stay tall, narrow and plain. It comes in one Regular weight, which is all a textura needs. Give it short words at large sizes and it looks carved and serious.
