Hootsbywick
Comic lettering with a felt pen feel. Even strokes, bouncy letters and nothing sitting quite straight.

About the family
Hootsbywick is comic lettering the way a letterer draws it at the desk: a pen line of nearly even weight, capitals and lowercase that bounce a little off the baseline, and round letters that are honest ovals rather than perfect circles. Nothing sits quite straight, and that is the point. The single-storey a and g, the curly tail on the q and the soft rounded ends keep it friendly even at Bold. Five weights run from a thin pen for captions to a fat marker for the sound effects. It is at home in short bursts of talk. Give it a speech bubble, a sticker or a menu board and it will do the rest.
