How it looks in use
Hobnailslim
Very narrow, very tall Clarendon letters with heavy stems and hairline curves. Built for posters.

About the family
Hobnailslim squeezes a Clarendon into a tall column. The stems are heavy, the curves and bowl tops thin right down, the slab serifs are bracketed and the R swings its leg out in a little flourish. The x height is big and the counters are deep and narrow. The effect is theatrical and a bit old fashioned, like a playbill or a vintage film title. Three weights. Headlines only: at small sizes the thins vanish.
